Why the stock part is absolute pain
The biggest headache with cheap open intakes is that they mess up the Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor readings, causing the car to idle rough and throw a Check Engine Light. BMS fixed this by machining a billet housing that perfectly mimics the stock airflow diameter.
